Dr. Shea received a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Biology and his Doctorate of Chiropractic from National Health Institute (formerly National College of Chiropractic) in Lombard, Illinois in 1985. He has practiced chiropractic in Big Rapids for twenty five years. His techniques include diversified,Thompson Drop and Activator. He has been married thirty years to Meredith and has three sons. Dr. Shea is a member of the Michigan Association of Chiropractors, the American Chiropractic Association, the Christian Chiropractic Association, Trinity EFCA Church and the Big Rapids Chamber of Commerce.
In September of 2009, Dr. Shea welcomed sharing space with Dr. Zeilinger, a recent graduate of Logan Chiropractic College. They both feel that this arrangement will help to better serve the growing chiropractic needs of Big Rapids and the surrounding area.
Dr. Zeilinger is a native of Michigan, growing up in the Reed City area. He obtained a Bachelor of Science degree from Ferris State University and his Doctorate of Chiropractic from Logan Chiropractic College in St. Louis, MO. 4 of his 5 children attend Crossroads Charter Academy while the youngest is in preschool. Dr. Zeilinger is proficient in Diversified, Thompson, Activator, Cox Flexion/Distraction and Logan Basic Techniques. He also utilizes soft tissue techniques such as Myofacial Release, Active Release Technique, and others.
